Welcome to the Kids of Kids and Dragons!

My husband and I own a small ten acre ranch just outside of Boerne in Welfare, Texas. I got my first Nigerian dwarf goats in July of 2012, and I was hooked! I have had many farm animals but the Nigerian dwarf goat is my favorite. I fell in love with this small sized goat and have started a small breeding business, so that others can experience the joy of raising this amazing creature. There are many reasons to own these goats. The Nigerian dwarf is a miniature dairy goat, recognized in 2005 by the American Dairy Goat Association. They are known for their sweet, creamy milk, which is high in butter fat. They have been known to produce an excellent amount of milk for their size (a quart a day). They are considered duel-purpose animals, providing both milk and meat. Because of their small size, the Nigerian dwarf takes less space than full sized breeds and thus is an excellent choice for the small farmer. This goat would also be a great 4-H project especially for a young child because they are easy to handle and have a gentle nature. They eat weeds, grass, and can be used for brush clearing. They make wonderful pets, they stay small, are cute, smart, and friendly, and are fun to watch and interact with.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
